Federal Legalization of Hemp

Under the 2018 Agricultural Improvement Act (aka the Farm Bill), hemp - and all of its derivatives - containing no more than .3% THC by weight - was removed from the definition of marijuana and are no longer illegal schedule I controlled substances pursuant to the Controlled Substances Act (CSA). You may also see hemp referred to as “industrial hemp”. 

Pennsylvania's Compliance with Federal Law

Pennsylvania adheres to the federal definition of legal hemp, allowing the sale of hemp-derived products that meet the 0.3% THC threshold. This includes beverages infused with hemp extracts, provided they comply with state and federal regulations.
