Vibrant floral notes, dried apricots, honey, cream and a hint of spices.
The grapes are Vidal Blanc from Erie and were fermented by our friends at Presque Isle Winery. A secondary malolactic fermentation was performed, and it has a similar mouthfeel/lingering finish to a â€œbuttery chardonnayâ€.
Aged 2.5 + years (and barreled on Leap Day!). The distillation was a single run similar to an Armagnac style. Bottled at 96 proof. Non-chill filtered.
