Lancaster Distilleries rests directly above the stream for which Water Street was named. When we were excavating during the construction of our building the underground culvert was discovered. The exact location had been lost to history until we found it during excavations. Originally built in 1745, the culvert was intended to divert the stream that was called Roaring Brook in the first half of the 18th century.
Our Roaring Brook Bourbon is our way of paying homage to the stream that's played such an important part in the development of Lancaster City. Join us in raising a glass to the rivers and streams that make human life possible! 40% ABV.
